Ten Action Steps To Building Self Esteem

Always greet the people you meet with a smile.
Make a special effort to answer the telephone with a pleasant voice, smile first then state your name before asking who is calling.
Listen to inspirational radio or cassette tapes when driving in your automobile.
Invest in your own knowledge. Make the bookstores and fitness centers your new haunts for “happy hour”.
Always say “thank you” when you are paid a complement. Do not play down nor play up a compliment.
Don’t brag, showoff, or be very talkative it’s a sign that you are desperate for attention.
Don’t tell your problems to people unless they are directly involve in the solutions.
Find successful role models that you can pattern yourself after. Learn from them.
When you make a mistake, get ridiculed or rejected, look at the mistake as a learning experiences, ridicule as ignorance and rejection as part of life.
Spend one day a week doing something you enjoy.
